Cole Durkan is a 2018 C/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Jefferson, MA who attends Wachusett Regional. Medium frame with athletic, highly projectable present build. Ran 40 yard dash in 5.04 seconds. Double toe tap trigger at the plate, overall approach is hard to the pull field, shows legitimate bat speed through the zone with good strength off the barrel. Contact was mostly to the pull field but did show ability to go up the middle; good line drive contact throughout. Showed clean, smooth actions to the ball in the outfield, fielding cleanly with balance and working through the ball into release, with OF velocity up to 81 MPH. Also caught, receives well and gains ground forward into release, makes accurate throws down to second base with pop times as low as 2.01 seconds and arm strength up to 73 MPH. Very good student.
