Michael "Luke" Binet is a 2016 SS/2B/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends The Kinkaid School. Medium build with broad shoulders. Right handed hitter, spread feet with slight bent knee crouch setup. Line drive swing path, flashes ability to stay inside the ball, but swing can get longer at times. Showed feel for barrel, ability to spray line drives across field. Middle infielder, stays low to ground, moves pretty well laterally, especially well to his left or gloveside. Good hands and actions, shows ability to work through the ball with solid, accurate throws. Also pitches, uses leg raise delivery, works to 3/4 arm slot with tight, compact arm-action. Fastball up to 84 mph, shows life to arm side and plays well down in the strike zone with good angle, plane. Mixes in a slider with short tilt, late break and a rare changeup. Shows solid tools to work with in all aspects of game. Very good student.
