2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 14)
Cooper Davidson is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Fellowship Christian School. Recorded a 6.66 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with long levers and room to fill out as he matures. Primary outfielder with quick twitch actions throughout the fielding process, good routes to the baseball and developing arm strength. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 84 mph during drills, while exhibiting a clean funnel off his front foot and a smooth gather. Stays behind the baseball and maintains some momentum into his throws, staying on-top of the baseball well. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a low hand set and forward stride loading mechanism into contact. Incorporates a slight front side coil and good weight shift to create smooth separation at foot strike. Simple, repeatable swing that gets on-plane early and flashes some extension out in front. Displayed present bat speed and impact to the middle and pullside when on-time and in-sync. Fundamentally sound prospect with quick twitch athleticism, offensive prowess and tons of upside and projection on both sides of the ball. Will continue to improve with minor refinement of tools and additional strength. Excellent Student. Named to the 2021 WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
