Gregory Martinez is a 2019 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Southwest Ranches, FL who attends Archbishop McCarthy HS. Recorded a 7.54 second 60-yard dash time. Solid frame with a physical lower half and well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary righthanded pitcher with a fluid tempo and a higher tucked leg lift. Higher three-quarters arm slot with a longer arm stroke. Creates downhill plane with very good life on the fastball upon release. Fastball topped out at 87 mph and gets very good extension upon release. Stays online with the plate with good direction. Showed a very tight 11/5 curveball that was located and mixed in well. Landed the breaking ball for strikes effectively. also flashed a changeup. Potential there to be a power arm. Arm strength also played well in the infield. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and an inward toe tap trigger into the stride. Inconsistent at times but when he gets on plane drives the ball nicely with some power. Good student. Named to the 2018 Florida Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
