Philip Choo is a 2017 C with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton High School. Small frame and a compact build. Behind the plate, flexible actions, quick arm and repeated his mechanics well. Showed good blocking actions in game with a pop time as low as 2.14. At the plate, a right handed hitter who utilized an open stance, slight crouch, narrow base and a deep hand set close to the body. Displayed some bat speed at the plate with present feel for the barrel. Made consistent, hard contact pull side.
