Michael Cartusciello is a 2018 OF with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Rockville Centre, NY who attends Holy Trinity Diocesan HS. Young and lean athletic build with long limbs and a projectable frame, room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves and gathers well to ball, short steps, upright release, long arm action, shows fluidity in actions, arm strength projects with incorporation of lower half into throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and back elbow with a slightly open stance. Short bat path to the ball, shows sound and repeats mechanics, hands work in swing, gets rotational at times, line drive swing plane, creates pull side contact, nice tools that will continue to develop with strength. Good student.
