Alejandro Maldonado Negron is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Coamo, PR who attends Academia Ponce Interamericana. Medium build, plenty of room for additional strength. Right handed hitter, contact approach with an inside swing path, works opposite field and up the middle, consistent with his approach and has good barrel skills, consistent square game contact, high average approach that would benefit from additional strength. 7.16 runner, uses his speed well on the bases. Second base actions and arm strength on defense, charges the ball well. Good student.
