2015 Midwest Underclass Showcase
Mason Hook is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-5 170 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Prairie HS. Tall body, slender build, plenty of room to put on additional muscle as he matures physically. Ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, did not pitch this showcase. From first base, sits back on the baseball, keeps the ball in front, good arm strength. At the plate, right-hand hitter that starts with a slightly closed stance. Short compact swing, small load, good hand quickness through the zone, good balanced swing, has projection. Excellent student.
