Zachary Zuniga is a 2017 C/RHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Boerne, TX who attends Geneva School of Boerne. Zuniga has a medium sized frame with an athletic lean build. Defensively he throws with a long arm action and a long release from behind the plate on his pop throws. Zuniga stands to throw and doesn't get ground. He has some arm strength up to 75 MPH and he was online with his throws. At the plate, Zuniga starts with a slightly open stance and a high hand set. He uses a quick rock back foot load to start his swing and gets his foot down early. He keeps hands hands inside and close to his body during his swing and has a rotational approach. He showed developing barrel skills and developing hitting tools. Zuniga pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. he has an inline delivery and throws from his ear. Zuniga throws an 11/5 curve ball with some shape to it. Very good student.
