Ian Bailey is a 2016 OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Stevens. Medium, athletic build with longer limbs and a lean, projectable frame with athleticism and twitch. Ran a 6.89 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows an easy and clean arm action at release and generates carry to target. Accurate throws, already has strength and projects for more with lower half incorporated into mechanics. Nice actions to the ball in the infield, wide base, shorter arm action and field out front, accurate across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hands set. Short path to the ball, upper body swing but repeats well and uses hands. Short weight shift through lower half, line drive contact but has ability to pull and show off strength. Comfort to the middle of the field, nice tools that project. Very good student.
