Dylan Wrona is a 2020 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Aurora, IL who attends Metea Valley. Tall and lanky young build, lots of room to get stronger. 7.33 runner, has confident and clean footwork in the middle infield, fields out front and funnels into his body, quick exchange, long and loose arm action with good carry on his throws, projects to keep improving defensively. Right handed hitter, narrow upright stance with a linear drift into contact, swings with intent and looks to hit the ball hard, fluid swing with a line drive, swing can get long at times but projects with added strength. Also pitched, potential two-way prospect. Flexible lower half in his delivery, high leg lift start, big hesitation to gather at the top of his delivery. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, gets outstanding sinking and running action. Sweeping breaking ball with good power and tight spin, threw strikes with both pitches. Sinker is a serious weapon at times. Good athlete who should keep getting better in all areas. Excellent student.
