Collin Moore is a 2017 SS/C/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Manatee HS. Large, athletic frame with quality build throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Sets up to hit with open front hip, deep hand set, leg lift trigger. Inside out swing path with good strength in swing, approach is solid, showed good jump off the barrel when squared up. Has some feel for the barrel and ability to match plane, would get better strength off the barrel with more usage of lower half. Moves well in the IF with quality footwork, quick transfer into extended release, solid arm strength across up to 78 MPH. Good receiving skills behind the plate, transfers well and shows solid footwork through catch-and-throw, popped as low as 2.01 seconds and threw 75 MPH to 2nd base. Pitched as well, swings open front hip into delivery, shorter arm action to mid three quarters slot, FB worked 78-80 MPH with solid arm side run. Did a good job throwing strikes to glove side. Good student.
