2005 Ohio Valley Top Prospect
Bryce Jenney is a 2007 RHP/IF/OF from Northville HS in Northville, MI, with a 6'0'', 160 lb. frame. Jenney showed prospect potential both as a position player and as a pitcher. He showed outstanding arm strength during drills both from the infield and the outfield, throwing 83 mph from both places. His infield actions were smooth and easy, with soft hands and sound footwork. He had very good carry on this throws from both spots. Jenney hits from a spread approach with good balance and a quiet load. He has a line drive swing and good bat speed, which led to solid line drive contact. He shows gap to gap power that could grow as he gains strength. On the mound, Jenney has an athletic wind up with a quick arm. His fastball was up to 82 mph and there looks like there's plenty more there. He threw a 73 mph slider and a 71mph change up as well. Jenney has athletic actions in everything he does on the field. He's a very good follow both ways. Jenney is also a very good student.
