Jake Bryant is a 2016 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Glendora, CA who attends Glendora. Bryant has a medium sized frame with a strong build. Defensively he showed good lateral movement and good footwork on the infield. Bryant has good defensive actions and showed good athleticism. He has good enough feet and actions to play 3B or 1B at the next level. At the plate, Bryant is a switch hitter. From the right side he has a balanced swing with some efforty bat speed. He showed a gap to gap approach with some pop to right center field. From the left side he starts with an open stance and uses a more rotational swing. He has some bat speed and looks to pull the ball. He has solid hitting tools from both sides of the plate. Bryant pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He has some arm speed and there's more velocity in there. He throws an 11/5 curveball with some depth and bite to it. Interesting two-way player. Very good student.
