Kyle Blendinger is a 2017 RHP/SS with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from High Point, NC who attends Southwest Guilford HS. Strong fairly mature athletic build. High energy delivery, mid 3/4's arm slot and will drop down to sidearm at times, creates angle to the plate, reliever profile with the delivery. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90, have seen up to 92 mph in the past, fastball gets very good arm side running action at times, will get heavy sink from the lower arm slot. Change up is his best secondary pitch, has good arm speed and feel for the pitch and creates deception with it. Sweeping slider tends to be flat and sweeping. Hard thrower from the arm slot with good deception in his delivery. Excellent student, verbal commitment to North Carolina.
