Evan McKendry is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends University School Of Nova Southeastern. Strong athletic build, fairly mature phyiscally. Deceptive delivery, has a pause at the top and acceleration through release, over the top arm slot with some fall off to first base, has some energy at release. Fastball up to 92 mph, good downhill plane to the plate and can throw it to both sides of the plate, good life down in the zone. Curveball has 12/6 downer shape and good depth at times, can be thrown harder for better effect. Very good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
