Rawlings Elam is a 2014 OF/UT with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Saint Thomas HS. Smaller build, has some wiry strength. 6.91 runner, quick actions and good speed on the bases and in the outfield, plays with energy. Charges hard in the outfield, good hands, some arm strength and carry, can probably play second base well in addition to the outfield. Right handed hitter, short aggressive swing, swings hard, line drive stroke, moves into contact aggressively, sees the ball well and has an idea how to hit, solid pull contact. Good student.
