Donovan McMullen is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Shadow Mountain HS. Tall and lanky build, has some present strength with plenty more to come, projects well physically. 7.32 runner, shows athletic agility and quickness behind the plate especially for his size, blocks well and receives the ball firmly, quick release on his throws, can extend better on throws to increase arm strength, tends to flick the ball, 2.13 best drill pop time, 2.14/2.20 in games, accurate throws. Right handed hitter, upper half swing, concentrates on staying short and inside the ball, mid field to opposite field contact, ball comes off the barrel well when squared due to leverage, has the ability to open up his swing and drive the ball more consistently. Played hard and enjoyed playing. Will continue to improve. Very good student.
