Dylan Tinley is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Carlsbad. Tinley has a medium sized frame with some strength. Defensively he has developing actions through the ball in the outfield and spins off on his throws. He has developing arm strength up to 78 MPH. At the plate, Tinley starts with a spread stance with a no stride approach. He has a balanced stance with a quiet approach and quick hands to the baseball. Tinley has bat speed and loose extension out front. He has a good swing and showed some pop to the middle of the field. Tinley has good hitting tools and squared the ball up well. Tinley pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He works slightly across his body and gets some run on his fastball. He also throws a 12/6 curve ball with big break when he gets on top of it. Good student.
