Trey Turner is a 2014 OF/C/RHP with a 6-0 182 lb. frame from Seneca, MO who attends Neosho HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with room for more. Very good all around athlete, can play all over the field with tools. 6.72 runner, big outfield arm strength, moves to the ball well, tends to throw uphill at times. Low flexible set up behind the plate, long athletic actions, very good arm strength, 1.96 best pop, game throws, young footwork but could become a standout behind the plate with repetitions and instruction. Shows top prospect potential on the mound, 88-90 mph fastball from a simple leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, slider has good bite and shape, throws strikes and works quickly. Right handed hitter, spread stance with a stride into contact, swings hard and tends to pull off at times, has bat speed, will need to improve balance and pitch recognition but has hitting tools to develop. Highest level athlete with young skills who might need three years of college to develop but has a high ceiling. Good student.
