Colt Smith is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Myrtle, MS who attends Myrtle Attendance Center. Tall athletic build, good strength with lots of physical projection. Simple delivery mechanics, high 3/4's arm slot, quick loose arm with a low effort release. Fastball topped at 88 mph, has deception in his delivery and fastball got on hitters quickly, lots of fastball swing/miss, locates fastball very well all over the zone and with intent. Short slurve type breaking ball, tight spin and two-plane break, could also be called a slider, commands breaking ball well, too. Has present pitchability and a nice upside on the mound. Right handed hitter, tall approach, exaggerated inside the ball approach, opposite to mid field contact.
