Clayton Bilke is a 2016 RHP with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Lucas, TX who attends Lovejoy HS. Large and strong build. Easy well paced delivery, stays on line and has good balance, high front side and looks to work downhill, high 3/4's arm slot, has some hook and cub to his arm action in back. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, mostly straight with occ cutting action. Throws two distinct breaking balls in a true slider with nice tilting action and a deeper curveball with fair spin and shape. Change up had good running action but tended to slow his arm down. Commanded all his pitches well and had an idea how to pitch, will start hitters with any off speed pitch to mix things up. Right handed hitter, stiff leg raise trigger, tends to get his front foot down late, when the foot is down on time he shows lots of raw power and the ability to drive the ball to the middle of the field, aggressive hitter who has some tools. Good student.
