Logan Goodnight is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Wheeling, WV who attends Linsly HS. Slender young athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, nice overall swing mechanics, hands are quick and stay short to the ball, good shift to his front side, loose extension through contact, line drive swing plane, has gap power and the ball carries well to right centerfield, projects very well as a hitter with additional strength. Moves well defensively, soft hands at the ball, charges and works through the ball with balance, short quick release with some effort, shows athleticism but can improve the throwing portion of his defensive game. Good athlete who will keep improving. Verbal commitment to Penn State.
