Jordan Matthews is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Teaneck, NJ who attends Teaneck HS. Bigger frame with a lean athletic build. Continues to get stronger each time we see him. Pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with solid mechanics. Minimal effort combined with an easy loose arm makes his fastball deceptive. Gets on hitters quick. Threw exclusively out of the stretch and pounded the strike zone. His FB touched 77 mph with some cut action. CB has 2/7 break and he showed a good feel for the off speed consistently throwing the CB for strikes. A left handed hitter with a quick bat and easy fluid swing. Showed gap pop and also flashed good pull side power. Solid athlete, also ran a 6.78 60 yd dash. Very good student.
