Brancheau is a good all around outfielder that showed good speed and hitting ability to name a couple of his top tools. The 7.09 that he ran in the 60 included a slight muscle pull that had him slow up near the finish. He is athletic and showed it in the outfield with the glove and his actions. With his speed, instincts and actions he appeared to fit best in centerfield. With his bat he showed a good hard swing that was level, short and powerful. His power was in the form of line drives because that was the trajectory of the ball off his bat. When he hit the ball square it jumped on a horizontal plane with a slight lift. His first at bat during live pitching was a rocket to the short-stop. He is balanced and takes a good strong swing and can rip the ball hard. He is a player that College Coaches are going to win with. He is strong physically and very good academically.
