Patrick Doyle is a 2006 RHP/1B from St. Louis, Missouri, with a 6'1", 200 lb. frame. On the hill Doyle has good mechanics with a loose arm, and throws with little effort. He has an easy delivery with good extension and finish on his pitches. His fastball topped out at 85 mph with good late life. Doyle also has a very good slider that he threw at 76 mph. He has a very good pitcher's body, and has projectable velocity with present stuff. Doyle pitched four innings at the showcase and did not allow an earned run while striking out six. He is also a right handed hitter with good hand strength and bat speed. Doyle has present college level power with the potential for more in the future. He has a good line drive swing plane, and really swings the bat well. Doyle is a very good two-way prospect that will have success at the next level. He is a must follow.
