Bryce Welborn is a 2013 RHP/ with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends Tomball. Welborn has a medium sized frame with a thin lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. Welborn has a quick arm and he pitches with some effort. He maintains balance through his delivery and finishes to the plate. Welborn has a violent delivery and pounded the strike zone with 3 pitches. He gets some cut action on his fastball and spotted it well in his outing. Welborn throws an 11/5 curveball with tight spin and good shape to it. He showed good feel for his curveball and located it to both sides of the plate. He also throws a change up at 82 MPH with some sink to it. Signed to Texas Tech, outstanding student.
