LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2003 South Underclass Showcase
Godre is a catcher with a good arm that also showed well on the hill. He has a big 6 foot 2 and 200 pound frame and he not only features a good arm but this catcher can hit. He has a good mechanically sound approach and some power. He takes a good early load, keeps his hands inside the ball and swings with good bat-speed through the ball. His back foot has a full pivot and his front leg braces strong giving him a good rotational swing-path. He showed good footwork behind the dish on his throws to second base popping a best time of 2.01 and that was clocked at 74 mph. He runs OK for a catcher and flashed some pitching ability too. He showed a good 79-81 mph fastball and sharp breaking curve at 67 mph. He is a talented player that needs to be followed for the recruiting class of 2005.
