Mike Minor is a 2006 left handed pitcher from Lewisburg, TN with a slender build at 6-3, 175 lbs. He has an extremely easy and fluid delivery and arm action that gives him very good command potential with all his pitches. Minor's fastball was in the 85-87 mph range with good late life to it. His 1/7 curveball had nice depth to it at 74 mph and his 77 mph change up was an advanced pitch with nice sinking action and deception. Minor showed a good feel for all his pitches and threw them where he wanted to with consistency. Minor isn't going to have to gain velocity to be a very effective pitcher at the next level but his slender body and the ease with which he throws the ball makes you think he might add a few clicks. His 74 mph curveball would be especially nasty if he was throwing it 78-80 mph. Minor is a very good present pitcher with a high ceiling. He is also a very good student.
