Nico Slater is a 2011 SS with a 6-0 199 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter HS. Very solid athletic build with plus present strength. 6.77 runner, quick feet defensively, very good range, smooth and balanced at the ball, low release but throws carry, plays under control, very impressive defensively. Closed hitting stance, quick hands, strength and bat speed to his swing, looks to pull, gets extended, ball jumps hard, controlled low maintenance swing. Didn't pitch but has been up to 91 mph in the past. Top prospect who stood out on both sides of the ball.
