Dalton West is a 2012 C/UT with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Utica, KY who attends Apollo. He has a long, athletic build. He popped very well in workout, showing quick actions behind plate. He replaces his feet well and receives well. His arm action is short and his throws are strong and accurate. Switch hitter who showed better from right side. He has pop, as well as good balance, bat speed and extension. Raw from left side, shows potential bat speed and good plate coverage. Good fastball command and arm side run, withloose, easy arm action. His 11/5 curveball has solid break. Interesting follow.
