Alan Carreon is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Deming, NM who attends Deming High School. Recorded a 7.33 second sixty-yard dash time. Large, strong looking frame with square shoulders and strength throughout. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch. Incorporates coiled leg lift and drop-and-drive lower half mechanics down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 80s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 87 mph from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Displayed life to his fastball with wavering command at times, while mixing in a tight, late biting slider and replicated changeup as his secondary offerings. Secondary infielder with third baseman profile. Incorporates segmented footwork into the fielding process, a clean funnel and decent lateral range. Showed ability to change arm slots when necessary and recorded arm strength up to 83 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Rotational swing mechanics with clear intent and some present bat speed. Middle-of-the field approach with short, direct hand path and some impact when in-sync. Displayed strong hands and some carry when he gets extended out in front.
