Daniel Rodriguez is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-10 152 lb. frame from Pingree Grove, IL who attends Hampshire. Recorded a 7.50 second 60 yard dash time. Compact and sturdy build, projects well. Primary shortstop, circles it well and gets it out quick with a fast transfer and release. High effort thrower, hooked arm stoke with developing fluidity to the actions. Secondary right-handed pitcher, head whack on the throw with limited extension. Arm hooks inline through the back, has some arm speed. Struggled with command, tends to throw off the side of the hand, can improve by staying on top of the ball. Right-handed hitter with a narrow base and open stance. Low hand and back elbow set, small stride into contact. Short swing path, gets overly rotational at times. Some decent contact when on time and on barrel. Good chance to improve with added repetitions and slight mechanical changes. Excellent student.
