Max Zdimal is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Notre Dame Preparatory. Medium frame with slender present build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.54 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, high leg lift to initiate delivery, balanced and online throughout, compact arm stroke to three quarters arm slot, looseness to arm stroke, extends well through release, fastball worked 79-83 mph with good arm side life. Curveball is big breaker that flashes tight spin, worked on 2/7 plane; also flashed changeup with some cutting action. Will improve command as he gains consistency in release point. Hits from even-based stance with small leg lift trigger, bars back in load, shows solid bat speed on line drive plane, pull-side approach, good contact skills overall. Worked out in the outfield, hesitant actions to the ball, stays balanced, fields cleanly but is a bit stationary, showed good arm strength, clocked up to 80 mph. Very good student, named to 2018 National Underclass West Top Prospect List.
