William Underwood is a 2020 2B/IF/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Marietta HS. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Switch-hitter, has a similar approach with similar bat speed from both sides of the plate, bit more hand quickness from the left side, has a smooth swing with good hip use, can turn on the ball, simple and efficient high average approach. 7.44 runner, has run 6.78 in the past at a PG showcase. Has clean and fundamental infield actions, fields the ball cleanly out front and works behind the ball well, good arm strength for a primary second baseman. Also pitched, high leg lift delivery with a long arm action in back to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, curveball has late 12/6 biting life, threw strikes and had a quick inning. Good student.
