Blake Lundholm is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Johnston, IA who attends Johnston. Recorded a 7.22 second sixty yard dash time. Long and lanky frame with a lean and athletic build, great physical projection moving forward. Primary shortstop, can pick it and has great feel for the glove. Sound approach with a solid understanding of the footwork, has advanced defensive actions for his age. Has a great chance to improve, projects well in the middle infield. Secondary right-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarters slot, fastball sat 73-76 mph, topping out at 78 mph and showing occasional arm side run. Will continue to improve as he refines his command, has potential for increased velocity with added strength. Curveball has tight rotation with 12-6 shape at times, changeup flashed occasional fade. Sound delivery, repeats his mechanics well and can fill up the zone. Right-handed hitter with a narrow and open stance and a low hand set. Utilizes a small leg lift trigger and has present quickness in his hands. Fluid swing and operation overall, produced consistent barrels to the middle of the field, solid showing in BP. Good young athlete with projectable skills. Great student. Named to the Midwest Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
