Reagan Samples is a 2025 1B/RHP, C, 3B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Los Osos. Features a larger/physical frame with present strength. Ran a 7.91 60-yd dash. In the INF, he showed proper footwork with avg. foot quickness, quality glove actions and made solid DP turns. Arm exhibited easy strength across the diamond up to 83. At the plate, he sits in a spread and slightly open stance. Simple process in his load/trigger showing minimal waisted movements allowing for easy balance. Hands dominate the swing throwing a direct barrel with some avg. bat speed but noticeable strength at impact when he got extended and lifted to the pullside which translated in-game with a loud triple. On the mound, he uses a belt high leg lift that works down with minimal sit in the driveleg and lands with a smaller stride. Arm action was shorter in the back and worked to release mostly from a lower ¾ slot. His fastball worked up to 84 living in the low 80s showing some natural armside run. Mixed in a shorter low 70s slider that induced a good amount of chase during his outing. Also flashed a straight changeup at 70 mph.
