Zachary Easterling is a 2020 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge HS. Big and strong athletic build, very projectable physically. Versatile player and two-way prospect. High leg tuck delivery on the mound, is a little cross body on landing and will fall off to the third base side so direction can improve, arm is long, loose and fast, repeats his mechanics well but arm slot tends to wander. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with good downhill angle, mostly straight. Showed good power to his curveball with a 10/4 sweeping break. Will need to become more consistent in the strike zone to take the next step as a pitcher. Left handed hitter, has a quiet swing approach from an open stance, present bat speed, pulls the ball hard with good lift and power. 6.94 runner, is aggressive and gets good jumps on the bases. SHows his arm strength well in the outfield, also plays first base. Good student. Named to the 2018 National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List.
