Jake Vogel is a 2020 OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Huntington Beach. Medium athletic build with some wiry present strength and room for more. Outstanding runner, 6.15 in the sixty, is quick out of the back from the right side and has posted consistent 4.1 home to first times in the past. Clean field actions in the outfield with an on-line release and plenty of raw arm strength, solid overall footwork, pure centerfield tools defensively. Right handed hitter, uses his lower half well to help generate bat speed, very quick hands and deceptively strong wrists, ball comes off the barrel hard from a compact and short swing, gets carry to the gaps and will hit to all fields, right handed hitter who is going to hit plenty of triples in his future. Athleticism really stands out and can drive the ball well enough to just not be a speed player. Good student, verbal commitment to UCLA. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
