Mason Schulz is a 2020 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 177 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Springs HS. Medium frame with good strength in lower half. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.05 seconds. Lefthanded hitter, balance swing throughout from even-based stance, leans back into swing, pull approach with lift in swing, has good power due to strength, easy carry for extra bases to pull field. Hands work well in the infield, stays balanced through movements, clean throughout, charges well, gets off quick release with accuracy, clocked up to 83 mph. Also pitched, slow-paced delivery, full arm stroke to high three quarters slot, fastball worked 78-82 mph with good cutting action. Shortens up arm stroke to throw curveball, lands it for strikes often. Good strikes throughout. Named to 2017 Underclass South Top Prospect List, good student.
