Tyler Cox is a 2021 OF/SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Westbury, NY who attends W Tresper Clarke HS. Recorded a 4.96 second 40-yard dash time. Lean athletic frame with good present physicality and room for more. Primary outfielder who utilizes his crow hop well and has good arm strength recorded up to 85 mph into the infield. Attacks the ball and has a longer arm stroke through the point of release. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a loose arm and a high three-quarters arm slot. Curveball showed good potential with good spin and sharp 11/5 break. Arm speed and whip is intriguing but fought command during this outing. Lefthanded hitter with a spread open stance and gets extended out in front nicely. Clean shift of weight forward with a controlled and consistent stroke. Good barrel to ball skills with nice leverage and power potential when he fills out. Good student. Named to the 2019 NE Indoor TP List.
