2019 14U National Showcase
Conner Bennett is a 2023 C with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate and receives the ball out front, quick transfer and release with a shorter arm action through the back, works on top of throws well and shows accuracy to second base, 1.88 best pop time, arm strength will continue to develop on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a short shift through lower half moving into contact. Loose hands with a compact path through the zone, generates whip with the barrel through point of contact. Shows a handle for the barrel, contact oriented approach, stays short to the ball with a high finish through point of contact, jump off the barrel when squared. Named to the 14u National Showcase Top Prospect List. Selected for the 2019 14u PG Select Festival.
