Erick Figueroa is a 2019 RHP with a 6-6 230 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Academy. Seriously large young pitcher, looks even bigger than listed, well proportioned with good present strength. Nicely controlled delivery for a big young pitcher, will occasionally pull off front side but mostly directional and consistent, compact arm action but gets good extension out front. Fastball mostly 83-84 mph, topped out at 86 mph early, gets very good cutting action on his fastball frequently, gets his fastball to both sides of the plate. Soft curveball has some spin and depth, ability to cut the ball points to potential slider future. Developing change up. Very good chance to keep improving and has some ceiling to him. Follow closely.
