Jose Ulloa is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Large, physical frame with long and lean present build; projects very well physically. Slower-paced delivery on the mound, high leg lift above the belt with hands above head in synch with leg lift, long and loose arm action up to high three quarters arm slot. Stands tall throughout delivery and will land on stiff front leg. Gets good extension at release. Fastball worked 77-82 MPH with good life to the arm side; shows ability to cut it as well. Showed slider with shorter, tighter break in the mid 70's, good life on the pitch with solid deception out of hand. Also mixed in a curveball with 11/5 shape, quality depth and overall spin. Maintained velocity and effectiveness of stuff throughout outing. Did a good job throwing strikes with all three pitches.
