Kevin Jaxel is a 2022 RHP/IF, OF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Congers, NY who attends Don Bosco Prep. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, fluid and controlled delivery on the mound, repeats well pitch to pitch and shows a loose arm stroke through the back side working to a higher three-quarters release point while generating extension out front. Filled the zone with fastball and topped out at 86 mph, worked to either side of the plate, ball comes out well and projects for more velocity moving forward. Worked mostly off of his fastball, flashed a tight and late biting curveball up to 74 mph and turned over a changeup at 77 mph, Balanced actions in the infield with a low effort release, ball comes out cleanly from his hand and shows accuracy across. Righthanded hitter, begins with simple stance and approach in the box, upper body dominant swing but shows a clean hand path and creates extension out front. Ball comes off his barrel well and shows strength at the point of contact, looseness throughout. Good student. Verbal commitment to Virginia. Named to the 14u National Showcase Top Prospect List. Selected for the 2019 14u PG Select Festival.
