Carmen Mlodzinski is a 2017 RHP/IF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Hilton Head island, SC who attends Hilton Head HS. Slender young athletic build, high waist, projects well physically. Cross body delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, compact arm action and hides the ball very well, low effort releases, arm works smooth and cleanly and he keeps his delivery simple and repeatable. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, mostly straight with some short cutting or sinking life, can get his fastball to the glove side. Curveball shows good spin and depth with close to 11/5 shape at times. Developing change up. Pitching mechanics and the angle he creates with his pitches are strengths. Will be interesting to see his stuff develop as he physically matures. Very good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
