Javeon Cody is a 2017 OF/3B/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Decatur, GA who attends Southwest Dekalb HS. Outstanding athletic build, long and lean with plenty of present strength and room for more, pretty mature look. 6.59 runner, comes to the ball well in the outfield, has a compact arm action with some present arm strength, more in the future with more length to his arm stroke, makes accurate throws and repeats his footwork. Right handed hitter, hits out of an open upright stance, upper body rotational swing, simple load and shift with a pretty short swing for his size, creates present bat speed and the ball comes off his barrel hard, mostly pull line drive contact with the potential for plenty of power in the future. Very interesting build and athletic potential.
