Niels Stone is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-1 182 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Gulf Coast HS. Long and lean build, plenty of room to fill out and get stronger. Easy well paced delivery, long and loose arm action, gets his lower half involved well and works down the mound, quick and loose arm coming through, repeats his mechanics. Fastball topped out at 91 mph with good downhill plane through the zone, mostly straight, works his fastball to spots and can get the ball to both sides of the plate at will. Curveball has good velocity and some tightness with 11/5 depth. Did not observe a change up but delivery and arm action indicates he should be able to throw a good one.
