JT Benson is a 2020 OF/MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Crestwood, KY who attends South Oldham. Medium frame with an athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.86 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange quickly. Released from a three-quarters slot producing accurate carry to the bag at 81 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and medium leg lift trigger. Swung with intent on a naturally lifted plane through extension. Looked to attach the baseball while effectively throwing the barrel head to contact. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and pull side gap created loud, hard contact when squared. Committed to the University of Louisville.
