Tyler Fitzgerald is a 2016 SS/OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Rochester, IL who attends Rochester HS. Tall and projectable athletic build, good present strength with plenty of room for more. 6.60 runner, moves very well for his size, has athletic balance and can get low and work through balls, light on his feet, has quick hands, high release angle, arm strength playable at shortstop for now, would like to see him at second base for extended time. Right handed hitter, spread stance with limited shift and stride, rotational upper half swing, hands are short and quick to the ball, fluid swing that can generate much more bat speed with increased lower half involvement, ball comes off the barrel hard especially when pulling. Has the tools to improve offensively with adjustments. Outstanding natural athlete who will continue to get better. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Louisville. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic team.
